“Regarding foot doctors in Kansas City, Dr. Landry is on the top of my list. He did my right bunion over 20 years ago and recently did my left. He listens and keeps it simple .”
-- Dana
In general, I focus on what hurts the patient the most. More often I do one foot at a time. One good foot is needed to get around on.

“The taping really helped my heel pain.” On our first visit with heel pain or plantar fasciitis, conservative measures used are ice, stretching, taping of the arch, anti-inflammatory, and instruction on walking through the ball of the great toe. I show the patient how to do “stirrup” taping on the foot. Often this helps avoid the next step of a cortisone shot. |

| “In spite of Medicare limitations, Dr. Landry gave me a choice for my joint replacement surgery.” -- Nancy Correction of the arthritic great toe joint has been part of my practice since the mid seventies. Then it was quite common to use a Swanson implant. Its popularity remains today. The main goal of joint replacement is to alleviate pain. Most implants do this. Brands vary slightly. For example, one brand may have more of an angle for flexibility. Patients are made aware of these choices. In the past two years, Medicare has reduced its reimbursement on implants. |
